KASUMI TERRACE Restaurant | Yamagata, Japan

In June 2025, the KASUMI TERRACE Restaurant in Yamagata, Japan—designed, manufactured, and delivered by Mexarts Contract—officially entered trial operation.

As the region’s first flagship project under Japan’s “PARK-PFI” initiative, KASUMI TERRACE reimagines public space by introducing private capital and professional operations to create a destination where social value and commercial vitality coexist. The restaurant’s first floor is thoughtfully designed with versatile dining tables and a bar counter to accommodate diverse dining occasions, while the second floor opens to a scenic rooftop terrace that overlooks the surrounding natural landscape.

Mexarts Contract worked closely with the design concept and spatial narrative, delivering a bespoke collection of furniture that seamlessly blends form and function. The result is an elevated dining environment where refined craftsmanship and timeless aesthetics come together to offer guests an exceptional experience.
