イタリアには何世紀もの長い歴史を持つ図書館がたくさんあります。 中に「老紳士 」のような書棚があり、今でも美しく、映画にもよく登場します。MERIDIENキャビネットシリースはこのような着想から生まれました。優れた収納性を持ち、空間の仕切りとして使っても適しています。 家具職人にとって最も難しい45°の角度の繋ぎあわせを完璧に仕上げています。 各扉には、少なくとも３ヶ所の繋ぎあわせがあります。素材と平面が空間の制限を打ち破り、直線につながります。 職人によって木目が厳選され、機能性と芸術性を兼ね備えています。

Hans Thyge Raunkjaer is a signed designer of Mexarts and is appointed the Art Director. The studio Hans Thyge & Co he founded in 1990 has a long history of know-how and experience in advanced modelling, working with all kinds of materials and production methods. Their processes are structured and monitored very carefully to ensure that the result meets the expectations.
Hans Thyge & Co consists of passionate people with strong opinions and a love for great design. They believe in combining brain and heart – function and aesthetics, and that every design should tell a story. It’s all about creativity, traditions, visions, cultures and values.
Hans has contributed a great many designs in Mexarts’ Noir collection, such as the iconic Peninsula dining table, Puli Chair and Kerry Desk.
